Finally back from business study mission. Kunming and Xi'an is really a nice place that im happy im there, but i realise i m still happy to be back in the arms of singapore, where my family is.
Touched down yesterday at 2.30am. baby picked me up=) thought i'll be pathetic to go back alone.
Anyway the trip was a great one, with great people.. great friends. went to alot of companies.. on weekdays.. smes, joint venture companies, aerospace and aviation companies, etcccc. weekends is for tourism. went to interesting places like shaanxi history museum, qin shi wang bing ma yong etc.. had alot of fun.
Experienced new things like going for massage and ktv in china.. formal networking dinners.. exchange with xi'an uni students.
Food-wise was boring. every meal is kinda standard... beer, coke, sprite or chinese tea. i didnt touch the first 3 at all for the whole 9 days. hate gassy drinks. 10 dishes or more? including soup.. and standard last dish - watermelon. i hate watermelon now. very sick of rice now also... haha! baby u noted rite?=)
Not enuff shopping also. bought alot of rubbish for everyone.
accesories like watches, earrings, bracelets, soft toys, pens, alarm clocks etc.. for the ladies and for dad... slippers! and he 's wearing it now. he needs something pricky.
I bought baby couple watch..couple keychain, lock and key, and a big soft toy hippo. plus some other rubbish.
i bought myself 4 pairs of shoes. can set up a shoe stall already... and handbags. never buy clothes.. =(
Still miss walking alot night markets.. feeling the buzz and bargaining for low prices.
One week to chiong my last project and presentation on vesak day. If i can at least get a B for this module, my dream will come true. My GPA will be 3.0 something!!! Although it s nothing 光彩, it's sort of an achievement to me. All thanks to my china module. got A- for that. Hahaha and after speaking in chinese for the past 9 days, somehow i feel my chinese standard is 'raised'.
