Annoucing my lan GPA for this semester: 2.93/4.00. NOt very gd actually. 3 and above will be better. But i'm contented actually, didnt work as hard as jc. I solve my email problem.. so today had to go thru 4 pages of emails, which amounts to like 100 emails?

Happenings for the day. First time back in SRjc!!!! guzheng practice for concert on 7jan. actually teacher only invited my twin, but i kapo, wanted to see how much i remember about guzheng. really had fun playing sia!!! chatted with teacher whom we haven met for so long long time. prac began at 9.30am but i left around 2pm. go home bathe then go sch for piano meeting. our club name is called: SMU ivory keys. what a cool name.

Ya anyway, today 's lesson we have a music director to teach us music theory. that really really reminds me of my theory exam on 15march 2008. and I haven even start yet. I 'm going to sit down and start next week. create a miracle for mum to see. just a pass will do and i'll be contented. i wont expect distinction like what i gotten for grade 5. boo...

Had dinner with jeremy, at ps. before that we spent quite a long time at yamaha looking around and playing the keyboards, pianos and organs. felt comfortable being with him. =)

THis morning attended a funeral mass at church of immaculate heart of mary. Mrs chua's father passed away. I received her news when i wished her merry x'mas through sms yesterday. he passed away on 22dec and the wake was at the oratory at nativity. christmas eve went to nativity and my dad and i walked past the oratory saw lotsa ppl... hmm my teacher was actually inside!. dunno what to say to her la.. so we neva talk. i just played with her 2month old son. baby was super chubby and cute. goodlooking like his mum and dad. though she did not teach us before, know mr chua somehow as we played for their wedding few years ago.

During homily, father said this which really struck me. This mass is not for the dead... it is for the living.. for all of u... cherish and treasure those around u etc... thought of my ah ma lor. wonder what if one day she is gone? i'll be real sad of all my life.. really enjoyed her company on x'mas -yesterday. we had a taiwanese dinner at the coffee shop near my place. then went shopping at thompson plaza. then dad drove to town to bring ahma see the beautiful lights and deco as he promised her previously. on the way back, went to Novena church... where we took some pics.. shall post them up later. the manger. very beautiful.

Today dun need to go church so I'm at home online... slacking around and taking care of my ahma at the same time. Dad brought her to our home, wanted her to have a change in environment dont always coop up in her room.

haix.. ever since ahma went china for holiday during my nov exam period, her health wasnt been good. she felt sick there.. then when she came back very weak.. mood also not very good... no longer talk to us much. 2 days before her birthday, on 18dec had a birthday celebration with cousins and aunt and uncles to celebrate her birthday. but i think its more of our own gathering cos ahma didnt even eat her fav durian birthday cake. in short, im kinda worried about her=(

She s now beside me on the sofa... watching tv=)

Christmas eve mass just now. was fun... super crowded the aisle of the church was packed with people standing. The church door couldnt even be closed. i played the piano for the first time today=) kid's choir was fantastic.. they really sing very loudly for all the hymns. but some screwing up... minor cock ups here and there. boo.

After the mass around 10plus when to nativity church to meet up with parents..who are in the chinese choir. hehe go there collect presents from aunties and uncles. then we also gave out presents to the choir kids.

cool! christmas eve mass is finally over. that spells the end of my 'organ marathon'. realised from the time i returned from vietnam..haven been going out. it's either church or home. everyday stayed at home chiong the mass for tmr. last minute practicing and panicking. from thurs to mon. from tmr it's break! yay!

MERRY X'MAS!!!

I wasnt happy at all today at the wedding mass. music wise not a problem, think he's ok with my playing today. 'Hi-he sang and i played-bye. 'seemed like a simple 3- step experience. met and part amicably but in the middle i was having a hard time. our president too i guess. first time saw a facade of myself, where though u really dislike someone, u still act professionally. after all we wont meet again after he finish his and i finish mine. so who cares? but who knows i'm going to face such people at the workplace next time?

well on hindsight, he might be paid to sing today, so who doesnt want to perfect their piece? If not i wont even bother to prac it last nite and sacrifice my 2h of tv! DEfinitely i'm not paid. but even if one day i become so professional that ppl pay me to play for their wedding, rest assure i will always remember what is humility. out there there are choirs who have people who can sing really well, and there are also choirs who have weak voices. However one should always know that the purpose is still the same: to serve.

woke up freaky early-6.30am to play the public hol mass in church 8am. the new priest did alot of acapella so most of the ordinaries dun need me to play. After mass had potluck breakfast with my choir frens in canteen. met this 3yr little gal Claire. Her mum invited us to go her house one day cos she bought a new keyboard then dunno how to use. After breakfast slack awhile then carolling concert rehearsal until afternoon. took a short nap in the afternoon. then finally came the real thing.

Caroling by 4 choirs: our chinese choir, st anne english choir, OLPS chinese choir and St bernadette chinese choir. took turns to sing... then ya not that i showing off my own choir... in terms of no of ppl... and the 'grandness'(haha my own word) many think that we are the best hehe. Praise the LOrd.

The world is so small actuallly. actually met my HI junior claudia who also played organ for school mass in school. Her mum played the organ and piano today. so with my mum... kinda chatted and know them.

Home sweet home. reached home ard 2 plus after a 1.5 h flight from ho chi minh city. Had a 7day tour with 2 days on our own shopping at night market. Overall the tour was quite slack.. with time for us to bathe in the afternoon after morning of physical activities. cuchi tunnel-where we went thru a short distance of tunnel to experience what's like during the vietnam war, climbing hill, visiting temples and churches, boat rides along mekong river and its tributary. The most memorable thing would be the horrible traffic ba. ho chi minh 's roads have very few traffic lights. many scooters and motorbikes like swarms of bees so crossing roads was a problem. hehe but we're experts now.. just cross and they will stop for u. serious congestion. and noise pollution too- due to the horning sounds of cars.

something else... it was yest(last day) that we spent most of the time relaxing and packing, that we had the time to go online. tons of emails to read.. mostly church stuffs. i read everything then go sch website check out results: not very good la. but i 'm contented cos my expectations in uni is lower than this.

I m having a problem right now. ever since i access my school emails and website in vietnam yest once, i can no longer access it. sigh... wonder whats the problem. my user name and password just don match. need to get this done asap.

Lynette and I went to her school today. supposed to buy her textbooks, while i go find my principal. my cousin from Indonesia is desperately looking for a sec school in singapore. last month he sat for the entrance tests for eng and maths in Anglo chinese High but guessed he didnt make it, so was rejected. i tried to 'pull string', sigh but failed because of the singapore policy. singaporeans first. there are still many local students being put on waiting list... so how can we expect to allow foreigners to come in? sounds true.. so mrs wong told me to try those neighbourhood schools in the vicinity. After that we chatted something else.. then left for the other schools.

The principal for serangoon sec was not in school, but the security guard was telling us that our request would definitely be rejected because their entrance test for enrolment next year was long closed! Anyway, i didnt mind also cos i really didnt have very good impression of the boys there... dyed hair.. worst lecherous. okays.. so my sis and i headed for punggol sec. Then it was at this time when it rained very heavily. we shopped at punggol plaza first since we couldnt find the place... but there really got nothing de... mum told us to come back home for lunch. so never go to the school.

I was so tired when i reached home around 2 plus... slept for 2.5 hours... u know until now i haven back my luggage for tmr vietnam tour yet...gonna pack it after dinner...

THe stress for today's evening mass was finally over! Practically day camp in church. from morning 8am my own choir practice, followed by mass and children's carolling practice. After that met the cantor for 22dec wedding till ard 1plus.. he's gonna sing u raise me up for his fren's wedding. very unhappy about this.. some comm problems. anyway i stop thinking about this..

ok talking about the 6pm mass. shocked today. Ever since i left this via christus choir in feb last year.. almost 2 years never see my conductor and choir frens. Today saw practically all new faces.. many kids and dont belittle them. They really sing well. I felt quite stressed cos we have to adapt to conductor mark's requests. Seriously under him really can learn alot de..

THen after mass he spoke to us about joining the choir and learning under their pro organist. wanted us to think abt it.. ya and i thought... timing wise.. have to attend chinese mass on sat, then weddings in the mornings... sun morning my own choir.. wa really cant imagine having another choir. Still thinking how to juggle with my new cca i gonna join and my theory exam. and oh ya. I totally HAVEN start yet. jialat!!! wed going vietnam one week. then christmas. still trying hard to find time.motivate me!

many unhappie thoughts about just now. YOU RAISE ME UP.

Today's wedding was very much alike the one i attended, or rather 'ruined' 3 yrs ago. Again the groom belongs to some military group, so procession we saw 10 sword-bearers raising up their swords. march in was very very grand. Back track to last time when we were still newbies to weddings... mum recorded the wedding march for us in a disk, so we knew we just had to play it for the couples. That time becos the procession was much more-many sword-bearers so the wedd couple took longer time to march out of church. The music stopped halfway, and we didnt know how to play. It's super embarassed. wanted a hole to hide. haha... cute memories.

Today then i realised the usefulness of facebook. through a fren i actually can get to know this brother who composes music. He writes very lively and cute responsorial psalms for church. If not for the module technology and world change, where my prof kept mentioning about facebook, i guess i wont even bother to have one.

Anyways... my theory haven start yet!!! jialat. left 3 months to EXAM. but cannot blame myself cos this week got extra mass. the evening one. more work because ALL the hymns and mass ordinaries are new. It's been almost 2 years since we left via christos choir 6pm to join st anthony's choir 9am. miss all my frenz there. but i heard there is alot of new faces. tmr still need to do set the registrations. haix. tmr got wedding i haven even practice la... just now went centrepoint to eat so must wake up early to practise.

Contented! went to check my results for academic writing, a non-examinable module i took this sem. A- for overall grade. and prof gave me A+ for class participation, attendance and preparedness. probably that's why it pulls up my overall grade. C+ for essay 1, B+ for essay 2 and research paper A-.

No motivation still.. haven start my music theory yet. mum was bugging... so i promised her i would start tmr nite after outing wif frens. heehee hope tmr i really start...

Ang mo kio hub today again. We met corlis for lunch. And becos we couldnt find a preferred place for food, went to the coffee shop in the end. cheap and nice. Nice gathering, lots of things to share. shopping time after that for awhile. The only bad thing was the rain. monsoon season is here, hence perhaps that is the reason why it started raining from late morning to the evening! irritating. Around 6plus when I stepped out of dhoby ghaut mrt, the rain was so strong that when i stood quite a distance from the road, a car which was moving at a fast speed drove past me and... gave me a bath. freak. my hair was wet, not to mention clothes. ANyway i was slightly late for the caroling practice. After practice was the weekly prayer meet. I think the day would be better if without the rain...

Happy Birthday to mummie! how adults hate their birthdays coz it means a year older. well anyways.. my mum is still young (dragon baby like me and twin=)) and pretty. Below are my gift to her: a card and a piano. it's a toy, looks real eh? this tiny piano is placed on top of one of the piano home. same color so camouflage. Also gave her a treat just now at fish & co.

chui arh! my household of faith is still chui after one hour of learning and practicing that wedding song. then after that had some difficulty coordinating with twin's piano. i think i spent more than 2 hours on the organ just now... preparing for the wedding songs and mass for tmr. lol. everything so last minute.. tmr practicing wedding songs with choir. very chui! so planning to wake up at 630 instead of 7 to qin lian!=(

I woke up at 11am today! then spent one hour learning a piece called 'Eyes on me'.. for mandy's sister wedding on mon. I still have one full song to learn.. haha the songs quite challenging. usually i dun even need to practice just need to 'consolidate'. cos need to tally everything with my sis who will be playing the piano. u r pro.=)
