Today i 'packed up' early at around 11pm. Wanted to take a break and blog about this new semester. =)
Firstly, I dropped CAT(computer as analysis tool) because the project is too heavy, i need more time to familiarise myself with excel cos the class is simply going very fast-paced and i dont really like the prof. I replaced my 5 th module with management accounting. Heh i thought i swear last sem that financial accounting gonna be my last accounts mod?! But I just realised there's 3 compulsory accounts mods to clear under my 2nd major- finance. MA should be ok since i m taking the easier one meant for non-accounts students, unlike FA. And I was the stupid one who placed the highest bid of e$41.01!! was super pissed when i saw 1 vacancy left. means only 4 ppl bid and i poured in so much money!
I love all the classes overall. Having wide spectrum so it s not boring at all.. and all afternoon classes. mon and wed from 12-7pm and thur 12to330. Haha but 2 classes consecutively can be quite tired though.. i m trying to get used to it. And this is my first time doing 5 modules. Otherwise i cant graduate in time.
International Econs, Finance, Ethics and social resonsibility, Intro to China history culture law and economy ( class conducted in chinese!) and lastly, Management acc. 5 projects altogether which adds up to 7 presentations! It seems like i cannot find any mod w/o projects. will definitely be spending alot of time in school having meetings and getting to know the many many people who are my project mates. Haven got a grp for MA yet.. who wants me??
But i really cant deny the heavy workload. Usually i 'll only feel the pinch by the 3rd or 4th week.. now within 4 days, i m already like catching up with all the readings.
Yesterday and this evening i attended 2 briefings: one for summer internship and another one for resume. Career councelor was telling those students who are graduating this yr and next yr to brace themselves through the storm of the current recession. I really hope that by the time i grad in 2011, economy will improve. Cant believe singapore economic growth rate -2%. negative leh. scary.
Although i always say i wanna get good grades, and i really study hard, im always trying to remind myself that life is not about grades. There s many other stuff to do also la. Like being a good daughter, and girlfriend.
