THis morning attended a funeral mass at church of immaculate heart of mary. Mrs chua's father passed away. I received her news when i wished her merry x'mas through sms yesterday. he passed away on 22dec and the wake was at the oratory at nativity. christmas eve went to nativity and my dad and i walked past the oratory saw lotsa ppl... hmm my teacher was actually inside!. dunno what to say to her la.. so we neva talk. i just played with her 2month old son. baby was super chubby and cute. goodlooking like his mum and dad. though she did not teach us before, know mr chua somehow as we played for their wedding few years ago.
During homily, father said this which really struck me. This mass is not for the dead... it is for the living.. for all of u... cherish and treasure those around u etc... thought of my ah ma lor. wonder what if one day she is gone? i'll be real sad of all my life.. really enjoyed her company on x'mas -yesterday. we had a taiwanese dinner at the coffee shop near my place. then went shopping at thompson plaza. then dad drove to town to bring ahma see the beautiful lights and deco as he promised her previously. on the way back, went to Novena church... where we took some pics.. shall post them up later. the manger. very beautiful.
